1. My Prime Mattifying Moisturizer, now on sale at P1,680 “When it says mattifying, it is truly matte–perhaps the only moisturizer I’ve used that really leaves no shine and yet feels adequately moisturizing. I only use this during the day so my face doesn’t oil up as much. It works really well under makeup. I don’t use this at night because I don’t find the need to mattify my face when I’m just sleeping. I also love how this feels really gentle. Unscented, not stingy/tingly, effective. Folks with sensitive skin will love this!” – Kathleen

2. VMV Hypoallergenics So Fine Pressed Powder, P1,665 “What I like about this is that it’s free from parabens and dyes. It gives natural almost sheer finish, not for those with lots of blemishes to hide as they will show up. It will keep your face looking fresh, so if you don’t have a lot of blemishes and hate looking too matte, go for this powder pact … Best thing about this is the pouch it comes with that protects its compact from breaking if you accidentally drop it.” – Maricel

3. Shimmer Tatts Boho, P550 “I’ve worn this for a beach wedding and it looked phenomenal! I can’t wait to give this a try for a weekend getaway! My skin is very sensitive and I’m sure gals with sensitive skin like me would love to hear how this performed. Well, no redness, very easy to apply, and equally easy to take off with an oil based makeup remover. Try this!” – Dianne

4. Beach Born Sea Salt Spray “I’ve tried my fair share of sea salt spray and this is by far the best i’ve tried given the cost and quality of the product. PRO: 1) value for money! this 100ml bottle is reasonably priced. 2) unlike other sea salt spray with intense fragrance, this one has minimal fragrance which doesn’t hurt your olfactory system. 3) the solution isn’t sticky!!!! other’s [sic] tend to get really sticks, so crunching your hair up is a hassle because you have to wash your hands over and over again. Beach born spray, doesn’t do that. It allows you to touch your hair, without getting all the solution on your hands. 4) the results are amazing, my hair looks like I went to the beach. and the effects lasts for at least 8 hours before i need to spray again. CON: none so far. :)” – Kristine

5. TRESemmé Extra Hold Hairspray “Perfect for travel! Brought this along with me to travel abroad over the holidays and wasn’t stopped by the xray people haha This was a great hairspray for holding my curls. Take note my hair has undergone dying, digiperm, rebond, many times over – yet this didnt make my hair crunchy at all [sic]. It even kept my curls soft and shiny all night long :)” – Maria

6. PRO STUDIO Beauty Exclusives Multi-Use Kabuki Brush, now on sale at P510 “Really cute brush; especially if you take the pink colored one. Super soft and can be used for a variety of things from liquid foundation to other kinds of foundation, blushes and even bronzers. Gives a soft, natural looking finish if used. Good for applying quick and light foundation as well. Sheds a little bit, but not very much and gets clean really quickly. Not to mention it dries quickly too.” – Kris

7. NARS Cosmetics Tinted Moisturizer, P2,450 “Love love loooove this stuff. I’ve repurchased this as it’s got great coverage, smells pleasant, and isn’t too greasy even when I apply it on top of my personal mix of a moisturizer and sunscreen (yes it does already have an SPF of 30 but I don’t apply enough of the product for it to actually protect my skin). The skin on my neck is quite a bit darker than my face (always forget to put sunscreen there) so when I want to look tan I go for St. Moritz, a far cry from the actual shade of my face which is lighter than Alaska. Shows how even with the nice coverage it gives, it melts into the skin enough to look natural.” – Lowe

8. Celeteque DermoScience Back Acne Spray, P320 “I was looking for something specifically for back acne so when I saw this spray, I just looked at the ingredients list and paid for it immediately. Despite it having great ingredients, I didn’t put my hopes up so I was pleasantly surprised that it greatly decreased the amount of lesions on my back … It works and it’s relatively affordable so I’m highly satisfied with it. I recommend it!” – Ana

9. Banila Co. Prime Primer Classic Matte “This was the very first primer I used and it made me a convert! Now, I cannot do my makeup without using a primer. This solved my oily skin problem. I no longer need touch-ups during noon because my skin didn’t get oily at all. I just wish it was cheaper because I use it everyday.” – Cedric

10. Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 Eye Palette, P2,099 “The basic colors are perfect for everyday wear. It’s so easy to transform your look from day to night, too — just pile on more of the darker shades for an evening out! The application is smooth and even, and once on, the product definitely has staying power. I’ve been a loyal MAC user beforehand. My sister-in-law recommended this to me after our beauty talk during the holidays. This is the first time I’ve tried this brand, and I’m so glad I made this purchase!” – Jeri
