Continued from The Bride Guide Part 1: Soft, Spring-Inspired Wedding Makeup.

The next look I’m about to show you is one I’ve been wanting to try for a long time. It’s still very fresh and natural, like the Spring Bride, but it does veer away slightly from the usual pinky-peach wedding vibe. I’d say this is the perfect look for people like me who absolutely love the sun and want to show off their tan on the big day.

Once again, I asked my friend and bridal makeup artist Tippy Destacamento to help me create this look.

KEY PRODUCT #1: Sun-kissed contour shades
MY PICK: PRO Studio Pro 4 Contour Palette
Tippy started by contouring my face with the PRO Studio Pro 4 Contour Palette. There are four shades in this quad, and the darkest one was used to line my cheekbones and nose.
Now, you’re not going to go full-on Kim K., but contouring is necessary as the base for bronzed-out beauty. The medium and light brown shades were used on my forehead and jawline. Then, the cream shade was dabbed over the high points of my face for a glossy glow.

KEY PRODUCT #2: Dramatic brown eye makeup
MY PICK: Karadium Like a Movie Star One Stroke Pen Liner in Brown and Pink Sugar Eye Candy 2 Palette, P699
One thing to remember when you’re going for this look: stick to earth tones. I think that brown eye makeup is one of the prettiest trends out there—it makes you look soft and natural, but still striking enough to get people gazing into your eyes.
That’s why I used the brown shade of Karadium’s Like a Movie Star One Stroke Pen Liner instead of a traditional black liner! Tippy didn’t just line my upper and lower lids—she tightlined between the lashes so to make my eyes pop without looking intimidating (AKA matapang). Then, we mixed in different brown shadows from the Pink Sugar Eye Candy Palette (the same one I showed you last week!) to build on the look.

KEY PRODUCT #3: Neutral shimmer bronzer
MY PICK: Pink Sugar Sweet Cheeks HD Cheek Color in South Beach
This look is all about that glow, so besides contouring and strobing, you’ll literally have to bronze yourself. I used Pink Sugar Sweet Cheeks HD Cheek Color in South Beach for this step. It’s a gorgeous gold-flecked bronzer that gives you that sun-kissed vibe. Trust me, you will look and feel like you just came from the coast!

KEY PRODUCT #4: Brown-toned lipstick
MY PICK: NYX Butter Lipstick in Rootbeer Float
To top off the look, you’ll need the perfect earth-toned lipstick. I went for a satin-finish browny-mauve called Rootbeer Float, which falls under the NYX Butter Lipstick Collection. This lipstick is ideal for girls with perpetually chapped lips—it moisturizes your lips when you put it on! It also lasts quite long for a non-matte color and keeps your lips looking lush.
Honestly, after I tried this for the tutorial, I liked it so much that I now carry the tube everywhere with me in my bag. So wear it to your wedding, then by all means, wear it to work!
