Foundation solves a lot of problems—but you don’t necessarily need it to look your best. Ever wanted to look super fresh without having to reach for your foundie? Let me show you how with this no-makeup makeup tutorial using only Benefit products!
STEP 1: PRIME. Start off by applying primer to perfect the texture of your skin. I’m using The Porefessional Face Primer, which blurs out pores and creates a seamless finish. Shop it here.
STEP 2: CONCEAL. Skipping foundation once in a while is actually beneficial to your skin. In place of heavy coverage, grab the Boi-ing Industrial Strength Concealer (coming soon to BeautyMNL). Apply only where needed: dark under-eye circles, redness around the nose, broken capillaries, acne marks, and dark spots. You’ll love how easy this concealer is to blend—it covers all imperfections completely!
STEP 3: MATTIFY. Set your concealer with the Hello Flawless Powder. Use the brush to get a sheer finish. This powder is very lightweight on the skin. It provides natural coverage and has a very nice mattifying finish. Shop it here.
STEP 3: FIX YOUR BROWS. Time to work on my favorite feature! Here I used three different products.
First, one of my favorites from Benefit: the Goof Proof Brow Pencil. Use back and forth strokes to fill in your brows until you get your desired shape and intensity. Shop it here.
Next, I set my brows with Ready, Set, Brow (coming soon!) to keep the hairs in place all day.
Lastly, to give my brows a lift, I applied High Brow over my brow bones and blended it in. Shop it here.
STEP 4: ADD A LITTLE EYESHADOW. I applied a wash of Birthday Suit Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow over my lids for a natural look. This is a great “look fresh” hack!
STEP 5: LINE YOUR LIDS. No-makeup makeup often involves a subtle stroke of eyeliner. I used the They’re Real Push Up Liner to create a small but perfect cat-eye. Shop it here.
STEP 5: STRETCH YOUR LASHES. Long lashes will open up your eyes and make you look more awake. I always like to curl my lashes before I put on mascara. Try Benefit’s They’re Real Mascara—it’s a crowd favorite. Shop it here.
STEP 6: WARM UP YOUR SKIN. To add dimension and a hint of color to the face, I contoured with Hoola Matte Bronzer and popped Coralista as the blush. Shop Hoola here and Coralista here.
STEP 7: TINT YOUR LIPS. Lastly, for a naturally bitten look, dab Benetint over your lips. Shop it here.
And voilà! You’re as fresh as a daisy—and you didn’t even have to use foundation. Hope you enjoyed this makeup tutorial!
