Ever find yourself having to choose between a plate of pasta and your weight loss goals? Well, maybe you don’t have to pick one or the other. One of the biggest myths I hear is that in order to lose weight, you must deprive yourself. But, trust me, there are ways to make food better for you without sacrificing flavor.

So, I compiled a list of my 4 favorite food substitutes that will make your next meal oh-so-yummy. All by the 7Grains Company!

1. Edamame Protein Pasta, P125

Edamame noodles make a great substitute for carb-packed pastas. It has the exact same texture, but is jam-packed with more protein and fiber to keep my tummy happy for longer.

2. Skinny Tomato Ketchup, P155
If you’re like me, you squirt ketchup on everything. Unfortunately, it’s usually packed with artificial sugars. For a healthier alternative, opt for this all-natural variety. It has 40% less sodium and uses only coconut sap sugar. And don’t worry—it does not skimp on taste!

3. Skinny Protein Aminos, P120
While soy sauce isn’t necessarily a bad thing, it isn’t really great either. This is probably the best version of soy sauce you can get. It contains no added salts, preservatives, and coloring, and has 10x more antioxidants than red wine. Translation: Use. It. On. Everything.

4. Skinny Shirataki Noodles, P95
I know, I know: it’s obvious I like my pasta. (Who doesn’t?) Well, here’s another healthy alternative. These Japanese-style noodles are made from the Konjac Plant, which makes it high in fiber to sastify the stomach but low in carbs—a happy compromise!
