Fact: it takes a couple thousand pesos and a significant number of salon visits to resurrect your hair in this heat. Problem is, time isn’t always on your side, and neither is that never-ending source of moolah. Would your messy mop take precedence over a hole in your pocket? Decisions, decisions.
But here’s the good news! You don’t have to settle for less than what you deserve just because your hair doesn’t want to cooperate with you. Yes, girl, yes, you take that dream of healthy, gorgeous hair and turn it into a reality.
Introducing the at-home hair spa! Conditioners just don’t get deep enough, so you’ll need something more potent to turn that mane tame. Today, I’m going to take you through four different options, and you can decide what you like best. Here we go!

What I tried: Leaders InSolution’s Steam Power Hair Pack
What it does: Penetrates deep into your scalp and keeps your hair richly nourished through the use of “warm steam.”
This is perfect for: Those who do a lot with their hair. Constant permers, blowdryers, artificial dyers, and the like.
How to use it: Shampoo your hair and apply the hair pack all over it. Put on a hair cover—a shower cap will do. After 15 minutes, rinse thoroughly.
Behold, the results: Silky-smooth locks with a lively bounce!

What I tried: Bedhead/Tigi’s Treat Me Right Peppermint Hair Mask
What it does: Deeply moisturizes each strand of hair and stimulates your scalp and hair follicles with a tingling sensation.
This is perfect for: Fine, limp hair.
How to use it: Shampoo, rinse, then apply the mask! Leave it on for 5 mins before rinsing your hair again.
Behold, the results: Soft-to-touch tresses with extra body and movement. Oh, and a really, really refreshed scalp.

What I tried: Skin Food’s Moisture Egg Hair Pack
What it does: Moisturizes brittle hair, diminishes split-ends, and delivers all-around repair with egg extracts (that old-school beauty secret).
This is perfect for: Dry and damaged hair.
How to use it: Give yourself a thorough shampooing. Then, towel-dry your hair before applying the egg pack. After exactly 5 minutes, rinse your hair with lukewarm water.
Behold, the results: Tangle-free hair with a beautiful “waterfall” look. This really makes your lustrous layers show.

What I tried: Skinlite’s Intensive Strengthen & Volumize Hair Treatment
What it does: The mask treatment enriches your hair with grapefruit, honey, and Vitamins A & E; strengthens and hydrates your hair strands; and increases shine significantly. The serum protects your hair from daily damage and frizz.
This is perfect for: Neglected, messy hair that needs a whole lot of TLC!
How to use it: It’s a two-step process.
STEP 1: After shampooing your hair, apply a generous amount of the hair mask. After 3-5 minutes, rinse off.
STEP 2: Apply a coin-sized amount of the serum onto your hands. You may smooth this onto wet or dry hair. Do not rinse this part off! Simply allow the serum to air-dry in your hair and then style it however you wish.
Behold, the results: Thicker, fuller, more lustrous hair that isn’t weighed-down or oily.

So, what’s so great about a hair spa versus regular conditioning? I’m giving you ten reasons in hopes that you’ll give this beauty secret a try!

1. It deeply conditions your hair and hydrates your scalp.
2. It makes your hair follicles stronger and promotes hair regrowth.
3. It’s a good solution for pesky dandruff.
4. It prevents hair and scalp aging (yup, there’s such a thing, girls).
5. It normalizes oil secretion in your scalp.
6. It helps your hair look thicker and feel fuller.
7. It removes environmental pollutants and other impurities that can cause hair loss!
8. It lessens your stress! Promise! Who wants to spend their entire weekend at back-to-back appointments?
9. It ups your confidence level because it’s so easy to use, so you can have salon gorgeous hair. Every. Single. Day.
10. It’s great on the pocket, especially when you think of the steep fees you’ll have to fork over at the salon. And isn’t that good reason enough?
