Pimples are vengeful little things that pop up when least expected. Think: big date, important interview, class reunion—basically, whenever you want to look your best. (Stress!) So when it’s crunch time and your zit-uation can’t be tamed, a fast-acting treatment is the way to go. Take it from our customers, who swear that these 5 solutions banish bumps as soon as they appear.

Skin Genie Blindspot Healing Stick, P100 Danissa, 21, Oily: I purchased it because it’s just 100 pesos. There’s no harm in trying, right? Haha! The very first time I tried it, it successfully reduced the size of my pimple. And then, I tried to use it sa mga dark acne spots. And I was so surprised when in just one day, my dark spots disappeared. I don’t know what happened!!! That was just amazing. One downside lang eh it’s very malagkit sa face kaya I just use it every night before sleep.

CosRX One Step Pimple Clear Kit, P210 Geraldine, 22: Though a bit pricey for a one-time thing, it’s like getting a tester for 3 products, so there’s that! The facial cleanser was nice, but it didn’t lather up much and was a bit thick. A little bit of water loosened it up so it spread more easily. The blemish pads were a surprise! I don’t know if it was a dud or what, but mine came in 2s! I was just expecting one pad so it was a nice surprise. The mask is divine!! I left it on for 18 minutes and rubbed the remaining essence all over my arms, neck and bust area and the next day, the felt plump and really well hydrated! I must note that the emerging red bump on my cheek bust out and became a full pimple but dried the next day or so.

Origins Out of Trouble 10 Minute Mask, P1,500 Isabella, 21, Combination Skin: “I can’t tell you how many times this mask has saved me when my skin feels problematic or when I’ve been neglecting it, and I know that it’s about to punish me for my sins with a big, fat ugly pimple. Once I feel one about to surface, I put this on and BAM! it helps to keep [pimples] at bay so it comes out significantly smaller and less painful.”

Dr. Wonder Anti-Spot Acne Patch, P500 Ochi, Oily Skin: The best acne spot treatment I’ve tried so far! I’ve tried the CosRX variant of this and it doesn’t stick as much as Dr. Wonder. I also love that it’s unnoticeably thin but stays on your face overnight (I accidentally kept one for more than 24hrs)! This is also the kind of spot treatment you can use under makeup because of the thinness of the material. Effecttiveness-wise, it pretty much sucks up the same amount of sebum as CosRX–but it stays longer so this is now my go-to acne spot treatment! <3 Holy grail, I promise you guys! Word of caution though, it works best on acne that’s about to pop–that’s when it sucks the most amount of sebum. If it’s just a bump, all it does is make it subside, which doesn’t really help cause youre supposed to suck the dirt out.

Dewytree Tea Tree Porest Purifying Clay Mask, P869 Jacky, 27, Combination Skin: “I purchased the whole tea tree line from Dewytree (toner, serum, and mask). I first used this to try if it would be compatible with my sensitive skin because I didn’t want to drastically [change] my skincare in one night. After using, I noticed that the zit on my forehead area dried immediately after washing off the mask. The smell is really good too, and calming. I didn’t experience any sting and it has [a] cooling effect when applied. My breakouts now are easily healed when I started using the whole tea tree line from Dewytree. Definitely recommended! The price might be a little expensive but it’s really effective and worth every penny.”
